The Stowaway
Play as a sneaky raccoon in this point-and-click adventure! Avoid traps, scavenge for food, and steal as many shiny trinkets as you can while you ride along with a musician who is following a dream. Collect everything you can to get a high score!
CONTROLS:
LEFT CLICK to walk and interact with objects.
MOUSE SCROLL WHEEL UP/DOWN or CLICK the VW button to open/close Inventory.
LEFT CLICK AND RELEASE inventory items to drag them from your inventory and use them on objects.
To stash items: drop them on the hole. To eat items: drop them on yourself.

Solid game. Just needs some finishing touches/garnishes. The edges just need a bit of sanding. For instance more animations/flourishes/highlights when you hover or interact with an item, or an animation when the raccoon climbs onto a higher level, or making sure the windows/doors don't overlap the main character. Or adding more of the little animations like the ferret peaking out of the boot. Also making the background track a bit smoother like adding a fade in/out on the chords. I get that you're a one person band, so its difficult to replicate all the little bits of a pajama sam/freddie fish/spy fox/put-put but these little bits elevate a game tremendously. It's the difference between getting a game out and making a game people share. Looking forward to your next one!
The goal was to make a game within the 3 months deadline for a game jam, so there was not time for polishing, etc. I would definitely add more flourishes and details for a finished game when there is no time crunch. Also, I'm still learning Visionaire Studio, and there are some bugs I have not been able to solve.

Hello. I believe i got hit by a bug in the desert scene: when i came back to the van after doing nothing outside, the game put the raccoon in the “upper plane”, as if it had climbed the cooler up: i can interact with all the items on the counter **and** the bed, allowing me to move from side to side floating over the front. It also seems to think the racoon is on the floor, because there is no “down there” option to climb down, therefore i am stuck there.

I am completely stuck in the van after coming back from the desert as well. The racoon won't move anymore.
I fixed the bug. You should be able to play it now. :)

Ah, unfortunately I got stuck again! After opening the trap I can't move past it. I was able to get just out of it in front of the trash can, but I can't walk around or get back into the van.
Hmm, this is a new bug I haven't seen. Can you tell me anything else, like what items you had obtained? Did you take the battery and get stuck back inside the trap, or was the battery still there?
I'd obtained the battery and got the trap all the way open. Once the trap got open I couldn't move. I was able to grab the items from the trash can, but the raccoon never moved from the trap. At some point I was able to click somewhere that seemed to make the raccoon go out the back of the trap and end up in front of the trash can, but then it wouldn't move anywhere else and clicking on the van didn't do anything.

I can confirm that the bug is not there anymore, and i could complete the game. Sadly, i was unable to find a shinny and my final score was 39/40.
I really enjoyed it!
Glad you enjoyed it! Not sure what you missed, but there are lots of things hidden in the dark forest, so they are easy to miss if you're not careful. :)
